Jumped in deep toes far
From the sandy floor
With one big breath and leap
Swimming far from the shore
The Swell is coming
Dark shapes are near
My limbs are numbing
some kind of death I fear
Wave after wave
Lash my face
Hardship and saltwater
Are all I taste
Yet somehow...I'm swimming stronger now
Though a little tired, getting used to how
To survive tredding deep, so with a gulp of air,
I prepare again to leap, with one last prayer
Off the edge
